he Waste4Soil Project has launched a survey to better understand the social acceptance of waste-derived soil improver products and other related circular solutions.
Understanding how different stakeholders perceive these solutions is important for identifying the factors that may influence their future uptake and for supporting the development of solutions that respond to stakeholder needs and expectations.
Three dimensions of social acceptance
The survey follows three widely recognised dimensions of social acceptance:
- Market acceptance
- Community acceptance
- Socio-political acceptance
The questionnaire is designed to support business model development, Living Lab learning, stakeholder engagement and Horizon Europe exploitation planning within the Waste4Soil Project.
Who can participate?
The Waste4Soil Project invites a wide range of stakeholders to share their views, including:
- Farmers and advisers
- Businesses and industry representatives
- Researchers and academics
- Policymakers and public authorities
- Organisations and associations
- Other stakeholders interested in circular solutions, soil health and sustainable food systems
Whether you are directly involved in agriculture, soil management, food systems, waste management, policymaking, research or related areas, your perspective can contribute to the study.
Take part in the survey
Participation is voluntary, and the questionnaire takes only a short time to complete.
The survey is open until 15 October 2026.

How will the responses be used?
The results of the study will be analysed by Savonia University of Applied Sciences and reported to the European Commission as part of Waste4Soil project reporting.
The results will be presented in aggregated form, and individual respondents will not be identified in Waste4Soil project reports, publications or presentations.
Participation is voluntary. Further information on informed consent and the use of responses is provided at the beginning of the questionnaire.
