The event was a great opportunity for Waste4Soil to interact with the young generation and to present the project and its activities.
The "BioChange Fest Kozani", is implemented in the framework of the "Bioeconomy Changemakers Festival", an event organized by the European Commission's Bioeconomy Directorate, in cooperation with the European Bioeconomy Youth Ambassadors. The event aims to include youth as drivers of the transformation needed in the face of the multiple challenges facing the EU today and to unleash the full potential of the bio-economy.
It is worth noting that "BioChange Fest Kozani Viewer or Changemaker", was selected among the regional festivals, organized around Europe during the week of 11-17 March, to kick off the main event taking place in Brussels on 13 March, with a live link.
A rich programme of activities has been put together for the festival, which will include talks, interactive workshops, and games around the bioeconomy, people operating in the region will talk to us about how they understand the bio-economy and how they have integrated it into their businesses. But also, how businesses can leverage LinkedIn, as the way of looking for work has been changing constantly in recent years. The workshop on creating a professional profile on LinkedIn will answer many questions, helping to support the proper promotion of each business. At the same time, two actions will take place in the Central Square of Kozani, "House of Trash - Creation of aromatic soaps with Bioeconomy products" in collaboration with Lena Kavoura and "Face the Trash - Creation of a carnival mask with Bioeconomy products" in collaboration with Constanza Hadi, as the head of the Student, Scientific Group "KOZAIN", from the Department of Product & Systems Design Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia.
All actions have a common denominator: improving the connection between innovation ecosystems, youth, and the bioeconomy, as well as empowering young people to act as catalysts toward the circular and sustainable use of biological resources.
