The Slovenian Living-Lab will be focused on two food processing residues (FPR): olive-oil residues, and mixed food processing residues (collected and treated all together). Olive-oil production and the associated industry are very important in southern European countries. Due to climate change and new climatic conditions Slovenia can now become important oil producers. Over the last decade, the two-phase centrifugation system for olive-oil extraction has become dominant in Slovenia.
