The Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper) works on an interdisciplinary basis, involving humanities, social and natural sciences, with special emphasis given to the research in the specific environments of the Mediterranean and the upper Adriatic region. The Institute for Oliveculture focuses on various aspects of agricultural technologies, sustainable agriculture, climate change, plant protection against pests and diseases, as well as the quality and sensory analysis of agricultural products.
Main Role:
ZRS Koper is a research partner in the co-design and implementation of the Slovenian Living Lab. It will map resources, design the lab, and produce environmentally friendly soil improvers from olive oil residues. ZRS Koper plans to test new nutrient recovery technologies in collaboration with UNILJ and KOTO.
