Waste4Soil at the AREFLH General Assembly 2025

The Waste4Soil project was presented at the General Assembly of the Assembly of European Horticultural Regions (AREFLH), a partner in the project. The event took place in Valencia, Spain, as part of the celebrations marking the organisation’s 25th anniversary.

This milestone event focused on major policy themes shaping the future of European agriculture. Three key panels structured the agenda:

  • The EU Vision for Agriculture and Food
  • The recent proposal to revise the Common Market Organisation (CMO), Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) and Strategic Plans (SPR) regulations
  • Water resilience in the fruit and vegetable sector

The assembly brought together representatives from EU institutions, regional authorities, producer organizations, and the research community. Discussions covered the evolving Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the European Green Deal’s water initiatives, and strategic priorities for building a sustainable agricultural future.

During the session, our partner AREFLH presented the Waste4Soil project, highlighting its mission to transform biowaste into valuable resources for healthier soils. Initial results were shared, and informative flyers were distributed to raise awareness about our innovative work in circular soil management.
