On 24 April 2026, our partner IRTA participated in Soil Week 2026, organised within the framework of the Soils for Europe project.
During the session, Victor Riau, Ph.D. presented the Waste4Soil Project, providing an in-depth overview of the Catalan Living Lab. The presentation highlighted key activities related to Soil Improvers (SI) applications, experimental field sites, and selected results on soil quality improvements generated within the project.
The session offered an open and collaborative space for stakeholders and researchers to exchange experiences, share knowledge, and reflect on key challenges facing European soils. Discussions particularly focused on two central priorities:
- Sustainable soil management practices
- Long-term soil health preservation
The event fostered valuable dialogue between participants and reinforced the importance of collaborative Living Lab approaches in advancing soil health solutions across Europe.
