On 4 March 2026, our partner LAB University of Applied Sciences organized the second Waste4Soil event at Niipala Farm in the municipality of Hollola, Finland. The event, titled “Hollola Forum for Sustainable Farming”, was the continuation of the project’s activities following the first event held at the LAB campus in Lahti.
The forum focused on practical applications for farmers and sustainable soil management. Key presentations and activities included:
- Sustainable Farming and the Practical Importance of Soil on Your Farm – presented by ProAgria
- Side Streams of Food Production Processes as Soil Improvers – presented by LAB University of Applied Sciences
- Discussion with participants on challenges and opportunities
- Summary of the evening and agreement on next steps
The event was a great opportunity to bring together researchers, farmers, and local stakeholders, fostering dialogue on sustainable farming practices and innovative solutions for soil health.
