World Water Day 2025

This year, World Water Day (March 22) focuses on a crucial theme: Glacier Preservation. Glaciers play a vital role in sustaining life on Earth, providing essential meltwater for drinking water, agriculture, industry, clean energy, and ecosystems. However, climate change is causing glaciers to disappear at an alarming rate, posing a serious threat to water security worldwide.

Since its establishment in 1993, World Water Day has been raising awareness about global freshwater challenges and advocating for action to address the water crisis. This year’s theme emphasizes the urgent need to protect glaciers and ensure sustainable water management for future generations.

At Waste4Soil Project, we recognize the deep connection between healthy soils and sustainable water management. Soil plays a crucial role in water filtration, retention, and quality—making it a key element in achieving long-term sustainability. By fostering soil health, we contribute to preserving water resources and building resilience against climate change.
