Waste4Soil Launches Its Living Labs Presentation Campaign

The Waste4Soil project is happy to announce the launch of our Living Labs presentation campaign! This initiative aims to highlight the innovative work being carried out across the seven Living Labs of the project.

Our journey begins in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, where researchers are revolutionizing soil management by transforming food processing residues into soil improvers. This pioneering work is paving the way for a more sustainable and resilient agricultural future.

The Italian Living Lab is currently testing innovative soil improvers in the field on two key crops typical of the Emilia-Romagna region:

  • Tomato crops
  • Wheat crops

At the heart of this initiative are protein hydrolysates, a promising soil improver that enhances soil fertility and crop productivity.

This groundbreaking research is powered by four key partners:

  • Università degli Studi di Parma
  • Legacoop Nazionale
  • Gruppo Amadori
  • Confagricoltura

Together, these partners are contributing to a circular economy approach that transforms agricultural and food industry by-products into valuable resources for sustainable farming.
