Waste4Soil Participates in Mission Soil Week 2025 in Aarhus, Denmark

The Waste4Soil project was pleased to take part in European Mission Soil Week 2025, held at Aarhus University (Denmark) on 5-6 November, a major gathering under A Soil Deal for Europe (“Mission Soil”) that brings together researchers, policymakers, land managers, citizens and innovators from across Europe.

As part of the Mission Soil Project Trail, Waste4Soil, alongside its sister project DeliSoil, showcased innovative approaches under the Circular Economy theme. The presentation highlighted how circular strategies can reconnect organic waste streams with soil regeneration, returning valuable nutrients to the land while supporting sustainable land management practices.

The Project Trail guided participants through six thematic areas critical to the future of European soils:

  • Soil data
  • Biodiversity
  • Pollution and soil restoration
  • Carbon farming
  • Awareness and engagement
  • Circular economy

Through interactive exhibits and structured discussions, Waste4Soil contributed to a collective vision for Europe, where soils are restored, valued, and maintained as living systems at the heart of the green transition. The event provided a platform to demonstrate practical solutions and emerging scientific developments that support sustainable and resilient agricultural systems.

Waste4Soil’s participation underscores the project’s commitment to knowledge exchange, innovation, and the promotion of circular solutions for healthier soils throughout Europe.
