On 30 October 2025, LAB University of Applied Sciences, our partner in the Waste4Soil project, participated in the trade fair “The Spark from the Fields”, organized by MTK ry – Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners in the Häme region.
At the event, LAB University showcased the Waste4Soil Project, highlighting innovative solutions to transform organic waste into valuable resources and promote sustainable soil management.
The fair covered several key themes:
- Sustainable Agriculture & 2025 Growing Season – lessons learned and achievements
- Häme’s Recipes for Success – strategies to create added value for all stakeholders
- Vision 2040: A Land of Happy Food – shaping the future of sustainable farming
- MTK Presidential Candidates – discussions on policies and priorities for agriculture
The Waste4Soil project’s presence underlined the importance of turning organic waste into resources to improve soil health, foster circular economy practices, and build resilient farming systems. The event also provided a great platform to engage with farmers, stakeholders, and policymakers, encouraging knowledge exchange and collaboration.
