Waste4Soil Project at 15th European Congress of Chemical Engineering and 8th European Congress of Applied Biotechnology

From September 8th to 10th, Leitat had the privilege of participating in the joint edition of ECCE/ECAB and CIBIQ 2025, held in Lisbon (Portugal), one of the leading international events in the fields of chemical engineering, biotechnology, and bioeconomy.

During the conference, we presented a scientific poster showcasing the latest experimental results from our AD-BES pilot, developed within the digestate valorization pathway of the European project Waste4Soil, and specifically carried out in the Catalan Living Lab. These results highlight our commitment to advancing innovative technologies for sustainable waste management and valorization, as well as to promoting the transition towards a circular, low-carbon bioeconomy.

Beyond presenting our findings, the conference proved to be an exceptionally enriching experience, offering us the opportunity to exchange ideas with internationally renowned experts, explore emerging research directions, and strengthen synergies with other research groups and key stakeholders in the sector.

Undoubtedly, this experience further fuels our enthusiasm and dedication to continue driving innovative solutions that contribute to a more sustainable future
