From 6–8 May 2025, our project partner Assembly of European Horticultural Regions participated in Macfrut 2025, a leading international trade fair dedicated to the fruit and vegetable sector, held in Rimini, Italy.
During the three-day event, AREFLH actively promoted the Waste4Soil project to a diverse audience, including Producer Organizations, Associations of Producers, and regional representatives. The team presented the project’s vision and objectives, emphasizing the importance of circular practices in restoring soil health and enhancing sustainable food systems across Europe. Informative flyers were also distributed to raise awareness and foster interest in the project’s mission.
Why Macfrut?
Macfrut represents a unique platform to engage with stakeholders from across the agri-food value chain. With a strong focus on innovation and internationalisation, the fair covers the entire fruit and vegetable supply chain, including:

AREFLH’s presence at Macfrut provided an excellent opportunity to connect with stakeholders, build new collaborations, and share the goals of Waste4Soil, promoting innovative and circular approaches to soil management that support the transition towards a more resilient and sustainable agriculture.
