The Waste4Soil Project was showcased at Macfrut Fiera 2026, held on 21–22 April in Rimini, Italy. The project was presented by our partner AREFLH, which engaged with a wide range of stakeholders from across the fresh fruit and vegetable sectors.
Throughout the event, AREFLH connected with key actors along the agri-food value chain, including producers, researchers, and industry representatives. These exchanges provided an excellent opportunity to present the mission of Waste4Soil: improving soil health through innovative and sustainable practices. Particular attention was given to the project’s work on valorising organic waste, enhancing soil quality, and supporting the transition towards more resilient and circular agricultural systems across Europe.
Macfrut once again confirmed its role as a major international platform for the agri-food sector, bringing together stakeholders from pre-harvest to post-harvest stages, as well as experts in healthy food systems. The event featured exhibitions, thematic areas, and international symposia, fostering dialogue, innovation, and collaboration across the entire supply chain.
Participation in Macfrut Fiera 2026 strengthened the visibility of Waste4Soil and opened new opportunities for collaboration with stakeholders committed to sustainable agriculture and soil health.
The Waste4Soil consortium looks forward to continuing its work with partners and stakeholders to promote healthier soils and more sustainable agri-food systems.
